Surrender to Him *

This last week has been filled with valuable learning experiences for me. I am truly grateful for my Savior and the influence of the spirit in my life. I have been blessed with clarity of thought and direction and it is wonderful.

I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father that directs our lives. I trust in him. I surrender my will to Him. I surrender my desires, my hopes, my fear, my pain, my love, my confusion, my happiness, my sins, my insecurity, my loneliness to him and trust that "Not my will, but thine Father be done". It's amazing how the peace comes, and every emotion that comes my way is surrendered to Him.

I no longer fear the bad emotions or feelings. I embrace them, and truly feel them, and ask Father what I need to learn from them, then I surrender them to Him knowing that my weakness can be made strong with His strength and through the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. What a blessing in my life to feel the daily support as I surrender and seek His will, knowing that he knows better then I what will bring me to true happiness.

I know our loving Heavenly Father will sustain each of you through your trials. Be patient and give it time. Feel everything. Let the feelings teach you what you need to learn, and then surrender the feelings to Him, through the Atonement of Christ, and the peace will come. I know and trust that God is guiding your experiences. You are his child. Never forget that you are loved.

I have been listening to older conferences and below is a favorite for the week. I hope and pray for happiness and peace to fill your life and trust it will.

"But If Not" by Dennis E. Simmons of the Second Quorum of the Seventy, April Conference 2004.

Here is the conclusion of that talk:

Our God will deliver us from ridicule and persecution, but if not. …
Our God will deliver us from sickness and disease, but if not …
He will deliver us from loneliness, depression, or fear, but if not. …
Our God will deliver us from threats, accusations, and insecurity, but if not. …
He will deliver us from death or impairment of loved ones, but if not, …
we will trust in the Lord.

Our God will see that we receive justice and fairness, but if not.…
He will make sure that we are loved and recognized, but if not. …
We will receive a perfect companion and righteous and obedient children, but if not, …
we will have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, knowing that if we do all we can do, we will, in His time and in His way, be delivered and receive all that He has.
